Job Responsibilities:
Installation & configuration of IBM P-Series machines. The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of a LIVE environment; including system set-up, configuration, maintenance and monitoring. Additionally, he/she will be responsible to help guide new configuration and enforce/recommend standards.
Required Skills:
-Minimum of 5 years' experience supporting AIX operating systems; AIX 5.3 a MUST
-Minimum of 5 years' experience supporting IBM hardware; exposure to P-Series is a MUST
-Minimum of 3 years' experience with HACMP, 2 plus years' experience working with IBM Logical Partitions and 3+ years' experience with a NIM Server
-KORN Shell Scripting and system tuning experience
Desired Skills:
-Experience connecting to an EMC disk subsystem and with Powerpath and/or MPIO
-AIX Disaster Recovery and exposure to TSM and Tivoli Monitoring
-Experience with Control-M scheduler and similarly configured SUN/Solaris systems is a huge plus
